Essence Lamonde is a writer, poet and spoken word artist who has taken his craft very seriously in the past two years. He has performed at such New York venues as The Nuyorican Poets Cafe and the Afrikan Poetry Theatre. Essence released his first CD, "Essentry" and currently hosts the Saturday open mic series "The Essence Xperience" at Food 4 Thought, a Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn cafe.
